Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, yesterday urged the Peoples Democratic Party members in Oyo State to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2019 national election. Atiku, who was at the Oyo State PDP Secretariat, Molete, Ibadan yesterday to discuss with the party stakeholders on his presidential ambition, said all hands must be on deck to make sure that the ruling party did not continue to rule in Nigeria again. He said: “I want us all to be in unity; let us work together; let us unite so that come 2019 general election, this state will be governed by PDP-led administration.

“I am here in Ibadan today to re-write history as I want you all to be ready to work as a team and make sure that the APC- led government does not return to power come 2019 national elections. This state must be governed by PDP and Nigerians must return back the power to the PDP come 2019.”

The former VP was accompanied by the former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, who is his campaign Director-General; Senator Kamorudeen Adedibu (son of the late Garrison Commander of Oyo State politics, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu); former Deputy Governor of Oyo State Alhaji Azeem Gbolarunmi; PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State Engr. Seyi Makinde and his campaign team, Hon. Ayo Adeseun, Sen. Hosea Agboola amongst others. Atiku had earlier visited Osun State PDP office on solidarity visit ahead of Thursday re-run governorship election in the state.

Atiku, who also came to rally delegates’ support for his presidential ambition ahead of the party’s primary election, held a meeting with all the state party delegates on his political ambition. The PDP chieftain, who after the meeting also held another marathon one with the Chairman and secretary of the party, Hon. Soji Adagunodo and Mr. Bola Ajao, assured them that, he has all what it takes to rescue the country and promised not to disappoint the people of the country at the end of the day.

Our tours to Oyo and Osun today were exceptional. My meeting with Ademola Adeleke was reassuring that the people of Osun will conclude the good job they have started.

PDP stakeholders agree that our campaign is about empowering the people through jobs and sound economic policies-
H. E. Atiku Abubakar
