Holiness is still fashionable!

Holiness is still fashionable!

One of the words that are becoming unpopular in Christian circles today is holiness.

Many believe because they are under Grace, holiness is no longer required.

“…His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and Godliness (holiness) through the knowledge of Him that called us to glory and virtue” (2Peter1:3).

We have been called to Godliness, glory, and virtue. Wow! What a glorious calling. What an honorable calling.

Virtue means goodness, morality, uprightness, dignity, honesty, honourability, decency, nobility, worthiness, trustworthiness, among others.

“As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves after your former lust (when you had not encountered Grace) in ignorance: but as He who has called you is holy, be holy in all manner of conversation. Because it is written, Be ye holy as I am holy'” (1 Peter 1:16-18).

Holiness can be described as the gracious act of being separated from the world and the lustful activities in it.

You can’t be holy by yourself. You need Christ. You can only be holy through Grace by Faith.

No matter your struggle. Accept that you can do nothing by your own power. Holiness is part of the benefits of the cross.

Consciously and intentionally submit yourself by faith to the Grace of Christ.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 1:13.

Holiness is one of all things you can do through Christ.

With Christ and the power of His Grace, you will be able to resist the lusts of the flesh and be separated to God.

Daily, thank God for Jesus dying for you and saving you from perishing.

Thank God for being the righteousness of God by Christ Jesus (2Corinthians 5:21).

Pray and study the word of God regularly.

As you do this, you will open up yourself more to “God and the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among them which are sanctified” (holy); (Acts20:32).
