The Consulate General of Nigeria issued a public statement Ref. No CGJHB/k/13/Vol.1 on the 28th of June 2021 to inform that the Mission will resume passport processing from Friday 2nd July 2021, at a rate of fifty (50) applicants per day. The Mission is currently in the process of re-scheduling applicants in line with the new daily quota, to ensure adherence with Coronavirus (Covid-19) lockdown level 4 regulations.
In light of the above, passport processing will be handled as follows;
Applicants will receive an SMS informing them of their new capturing date and time;
A maximum of ten (1o) applicants be will be captured per hour;
Applicants who are absent during their allocated time will be rescheduled for a new date ninety (90) days after the missed date;
The Mission further wishes to inform the Nigerian community that it has recently received an additional stock of passport booklets, and is working assiduously to clear the existing backlog within the shortest possible time. To ensure timely passport collection, applicants are requested to visit the Mission for passport collection on Wednesdays and Fridays.
