The Consulate General of Nigeria, Johannesburg has withdrawn the proposed certification copies of Nigerian passports.
In a statement released on Friday the Mission says that “the well-intentioned service has been misconstrued, misjudged and misinterpreted by the Nigerian community.”
The Mission says that it is evident that Nigerians are not in need of the service. Passport holders are enjoined to use all means at their disposal to secure and safeguard their passports.
The Mission adds that it is appreciative of feedback from Nigerians and will continue to deliver the best possible service to the Nigerian community.
